Tapio Rissanen

Tapio Rissanen is Director and Senior Consultant of EuroConseils sprl (Brussels).

Prior to joining the Information Society DG in 1995, Tapio Rissanen (Eur. Ing.) ran the EU information related consultancy companies Conseils Oy in Finland and EuroConseils sprl in Brussels in the roles of Senior Consultant and Managing Director. Within the EU eTEN programme, Tapio has been in charge of a number of Market Validation and Initial Deployment projects, also he has been dealing with strategic planning and the re-orientation of the programme towards the objectives of the eEurope 2005 initiative.

Prior to eTEN, Tapio has also been a Project Officer within the IST and Telematics Application Programmes.  Before establishing the above mentioned companies, Tapio had been working in the areas of business development and international marketing within the Kone Corporation, and held the position of Commercial Counsellor at the Finnish Embassy in Brussels.

OpenDays Knowledge Society Village events 2007 and 2008: Support and coordination within the Open Days activities of the Regio DG and the Committee of the Regions Investors' Café as a “Mayor” to organise two times (2007 and 2008) the “Knowledge Society village” accommodating innovative regional initiatives and Living Labs (LLs in 2008). Secondly, acting as an organiser/driver/moderator of two seminars dealing with eGovernment (paperless processes and digital signatures for regions, 2007) and eInclusion (introduction of eInclusion/AAL/CIP programmes, a CIP/PSP pilot project and safe internet for citizens/seniors including identities in Web 2.0, (2008).

Teemu Rissanen

Security Consultant and Managing Director of Conseils Oy SimplySecure.

Teemu Rissanen has been working for Conseils Oy since 2001. His expertise covers the areas of trust and security solutions, consultancy services and security studies. He has designed and carried out concepts and systems for paperless processes, secured infrastructure applications and transactions requiring strong authentication and digital signature, compliant with European legislation and standards. Rissanen has also carried out studies and participated in R&D projects in the area of eHealth and eSignatures.

Teemu has carried out National digital signature and identity management interoperability studies for the EU IDABC programme, the legal framework interoperability study for eHealth, for the EU CEC DGINFSO, and he is involved with numerous other digital signature and identity management studies and projects for national and EU institutions.

As project manager he has lead the consortium in charge of the manufacturing and personalisation the next generation FINEID organisation certificate smartcards in Finland. Teemu Rissanen has a strong expertise in smartcard technology implementation for various business fields. Currently Teemu Rissanen is involved in an EU project where he provides consultancy and expert services on identity management and secure data sharing for providing outpatient eHealth services.
